People saying Kawhi is Bron level or better are tripping anyway. Only one other man in the league on Lebrons level. That’s KD. Kawhi, Curry, Harden, Giannis are a tier under them though imo.
But if he’s doing his part and PGs not then you can’t blame him tbh. Paul George gotta play like the top 10 player that we know he can be. If he plays like last year, they losing in the first round
Clippers got pushed to 6 games last year by the Mavs without KP, lowkey would’ve pushed it to 7 with him. Now they’ve gotten a bit better defensively and with KP/Brunson playing they got a a very good chance at beating LAC tbh. Especially when Luka is going to play like he has been.
Didn’t see the whole game but KP didn’t even play that well from what I saw and they still won Game 1. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Clippers went 7 games here tbh and in a game 7 anything could happen, Luka has well proven he can win a playoff series as the primary option, they gonna just need KP to show up as the second guy tbh.
Ever since PG declared “Playoff P” nickname something went wrong and its been like that ever since lmao. I don’t know what it is but he just hasn’t been entirely the same in the last couple of years in the playoffs and when he does show up some game shifting play happens and nothing else matters lol. I don’t think he’s gonna be performing like a top 10 player, gonna have to hit his MVPG stride for that to happen. They gotta find a way to slow down the real top 10 threat in Luka cause his current level of play will dictate the outcome of the series, man’s just that good.
super pumped to see what song will be used for TNT's coverage of the 2021 NBA Playoffs tomorrow

cool tidbit for the Knicks-Hawks series later today
the last time both teams faced each other was in the 1999 Eastern Conference Semifinals, where the Knicks swept the Hawks 4-0 to advance to the Conference Finals against the Pacers, and eventually the NBA Finals against the Spurs where they lost 4 -1. To this date, the 1998-99 Knicks are the only 8th Seed team in NBA history (East or West) to advance to the NBA Finals.
The Knicks at that time had Patrick Ewing, Latrell Sprewell, Allan Houston, Larry Johnson and Marcus Camby among others under the coaching of Jeff Van Gundy and funny enough Tom Thibodeau as an Assistant Coach.
The Hawks at that time had Steve Smith, Mookie Blaylock, Mark West and Dikembe Mutombo while being coached by Lenny Wilkens
Overall the Knicks and Hawks have met in the playoffs only twice prior to this year's matchup
* 1971 Eastern Conference Semifinals (Knicks won series 4 - 0)
* 1999 Eastern Conference Semifinals (Knicks won series 4 - 1)

I know he's not in the arena but this is the most boring Marv Albert call I think I've ever heard. Called it like it was golf when Philly made the run and Curry hit that 3. Holy shit
@RobertoTheOharaSurvivor@Jiihad Good luck with the matchup later. Don't have a rooting interest here but it's been a while since we had 2 people here with their teams matching up in the playoffs, lol.

The duality of Ben Simmons: 15 rebounds and 15 assists on 2 turnovers. 6 points 3/7 FGs and 0/6 FTs. Played great defense also, especially on Beal. Sixers win at the end.
Hawks are gonna kill the Knicks in a shootout but we have a great chance to win if we can limit Trae Young and Clint Capela from getting touches or easy shots

randle shouldn't have gotten the last shot/touch tbh. He was ass all game tonight
Yea Randle SHOULD be better tha rest of tha series. You trust Alec Burns to have 27 again? Or Collins to only have 12? Or Capela to only have 9pts(even tho his scoring is a plus and he’s mainly a lob threat/defense and rebounding)

The Knicks have a very good guard rotation. Next game RJ Barret could go off, or Drose, or Quickly. Who knows? It was Alec Burks tonight could be another guard next game. Collins should definitely play better that’s for sure. He’s underrated as hell. But don’t let me get started on all that Trae Young flopping...
If he’s getting those calls all series, Knicks ain’t winning.

We did a good job keeping Capela off the boards (anything under 15 rebounds for him I can live with) but Trae got almost every shot he wanted except open 3s and FTs (he got 9 in the 4th quarter alone). If we can keep Trae under 40% fg, we have a great shot to win
as for the Knicks, pretty much everyone except Randle came to play today. Obi and Quickley were fantastic and RJ (except that Bogdanovic 3 from the corner that he almost had a steal) and D Rose made clutch plays. And for Burks what can I say, he's been our best clutch scorer this season and leads the team in PPG in OT periods.
Still all the pressure is on us now to win Game 2, anything less than a blowout for Game 2 would be imo unacceptable if we want to get back home court advantage. And I have no idea if we can pull off a win on the road with how we've been unable to guard Trae

we actually kept him from shooting any FTs until the 4th Quarter since he was just going for mostly floaters and lobs to Capela which we could live with tbh. Its when he draws fouls that its gets ugly. For this game though, I didn't see any crazy foul baiting from him so there wasn't really a call that Thibs really wanted to dispute
also kinda nice to see Charles Barkley complementing the game overall, even though I won't be able to sleep tonight @Jiihad@Noyman. This loss fucking hurts
Hawks really good when they playing bogdanovic bruh. He is really consistent. With trae you gotta make him drive which is already hard cuz you gotta defend the floather or lob to capella or collins.
