Not at any point in this series has the crew given up hope on Luffy. They probably won't react as strongly as some people are expecting them to.

Guaranteed they'll just say "I believe in him" and continue doing their thing.

2. Yamato heard the announcement and if she sees that Kaido is not on the Rooftop when she gets there, she can always change course.

And again, Yamato will find Kaido how? they dont have CoO as far as we’re aware and because that makes sense for kanjuro to draw kaido after he arrives where momo is...
