Injuries build up your will power, pushing you into a corner.
It's somewhat different to outright restrict one of Zoro's swords as his santoryu and actual techniques would be restricted there, that isn't what happened, but yes an injured, backed into a corner "all out" Zoro can clash evenly with a "all out" fresh "Zoro" clone, because Zoro isn't going to let himself be defeated.
This is manga logic not tied to reality, haki blooms on the battlefield.

Remember, Luffy had trouble integrating King Kong Gun with new Haki. He "failed" in Udon.

I really think he overdid it here.

It's weird that we haven't seen him do this. He used G4 and it wasn't at all different from how he normally uses it. I would have loved to see Oda show this off or at least elaborate on the whole internal explosion thing.

Nah G5 ain't happening anytime soon. G5 without limits???? That is a bit too OP. He is already a monster with a limited g4, a limitless g5 would be nuts.

Its not ilogical because only luffy uses a techinique that consumes haki without stop.

Oda isn't going to want to make Luffy's base completely pointless.
Until he makes "awakening" only work for Luffy in base or something, g4 needs to have some restriction.
