I don't get that either; sure, they are childhood friends but at the end, Bakugou is the kind of dipshit who utterly bullies him since they were children. Deku should act like Tanjirou and headbutt Bakugou whenever he acts like a total prick towards him lol.

Deku is that dumb child that is told by the teacher to avoid the bully. But still ends up going to him and trying to be his friend. Then ends up crying again lol.

Deku obviously idolized Bakugo though. Bakugo didn’t consider him a friend for a very long time but Deku has other feelings on the matter. Bakugo is smart, strong and almost always gets things right on his first few tries. He’s a genius and prodigy with a powerful quirk. All the makings of a great hero.

To a little kid like Deku whose obsessed with heroes, he’d obviously see his childhood friend (which later becomes one sided) in a different shade than the rest of us. He sees Bakugos power and thinks what a great hero.

People always forget that when comparing new shounen to old, easy to come out of the gates strong, you truly seperate yourself by maintaining that standard.

I agree with bleach being really good at the beginning. I was just baiting TAC.

I am fairly new to KnY myself, but I can confidently say that consistency is where KnY beats most of the big-timers. This is one of the few action-oriented mangas you can enjoy without worrying about power levels. Your average reader would find almost all characters likable and interesting.

It has almost everything you'd look for while picking a manga. A good storyline, Decent art, Cool powers, fights where you can actually win using your head, An overpowered sadistic villain who rises tension with every single appearance. More importantly, PIS is kept to a minimum and characters actually die.
