They are contrasted with Jack as overwhelmingly superior to him.
They are judged by Zoro to be opponents of similar difficulty in terms of getting through either of them to reach the roof.
They are described by Marco in the same breath as difficult opponents to hold on against

In no world King is anything but slightly stronger than Queen.

Anyone going King >> X >>>>Y >>>Z >>>> Queen now that is clear Sanji is fighting Queen has an obvious agenda

For now. This would change if:

• King defeats Marco
• King's bounty is considerably above Queen's
  • Particularly if Queen's bounty is closer to Jack than to Queen
• King reveals himself to be a Conqueror
  • Particularly if King can coat his attacks with Haoshoku
• King has Awakening
• King's race is revealed to have busted properties

It currently looks like Queen is closer to King than to Jack, but that could change in the future.
