For all we know, the only two characters to have a mean to hurt Kaido are Luffy (with haki penetration) and Zoro (with Enma).

-From a strategic stand point it makes absolutely no sense that Zoro does get a shot during the Kaido’s fight.

-From a narrative stand point it makes no sense that the heir of the only sword that could hurt Kaido is put aside in the fight against Kaido

-From a thematic stand point it makes no sense that the character who is the second Ryuma does not engrave his legend by fighting a Dragon in front of the people of Wano

-From a character stand point, the same way Sanji helped the crew by doing his role against BM, Zoro will help the crew by doing his role against Kaido.

Trying to understand One Piece story through powerlevel lenses is, at best, naive, at worst, stupid.

It is okay mate...it is not about making sense as Oda doesn't give a shit about it....so far none other than Luffy has feats that put them in YFM range and yet almost everyone is going to be involved Kaido...other than hax by Law and Hawkins (even I don't know how this works on indestructible monster but okay).

So if Zoro involving doesn't make sense, then it doesn't for any other with an exception of Luffy/Kidd (as both have personal beef and their focus is on Kaido) involved in fight.

On other hand, Zoro was not involved in fighting Doffy and it was taken care by Luffy and Law. Not just Kaido, there are many obstacles that has to be cleared for liberation of Wano, so, Zoro may just stop at King while leaving Kaido to captain trio.

In conclusion let's forget about making sense anyways and it won't be bad if Zoro gets involved in the fight.

It makes no sense for either of the two to solo Kaido. And even less sense to add Law and Kidd in the fight and not the other one instead.

The odds are for a SH tag team foremost.

That might’ve been the case before 955, but Zoro getting the only blade to scar Kaido hints to Zoro actually using it on the dude. If he doesn’t, then that information was unnecessary for the readers.

Plus people like to discount Zoro for power level reasons...despite nobody in the WG, bar BB, having feats of defeating someone equal to or stronger than even Doflamingo.

You know Zoro didnt even mention fighting and damaging Kaido at all? During his trainings
Since the arc started , zoro hasn't even said anything about beating and finish Kaido
He doesnt even hold a grudge against Kaido!
While Luffy aa he trained, he kept mentioning Kaido!

Also it's like saying like Strawhat wankers did
"Brook will do much damage , nami brook and luffy will beat BM coz Brook is her counter and nami can do x "

We have 3 people in this arc that want revenge :
Kidd and luffy saying that they'll pay Kaido back!
Zoro saying He will avenge Orochi

Oda even removed Zoro from meeting Kaido, hasn't made Zoro even get to meet Kaido or see him
Zoro didnt even show any signs of wanting to cut Kaido

This is only a hint but it's not really a reason.Luffy is enraged , just like Kid and the scabbards.I think there should at least be something connecting Zoro and Kaido for this to happen.
