General & Others Is Kaido living up to the hype?

He has been living the hype since he released/ordered the release of trapped YONKOU Charlotte Linlin for a one-on-one confrontation to the death.
ODA making KAIDO match the exaggeration, in addition to making him face 9 very strong people at the same time, ODA even planned for KAIDO to face an entire army of SULONGS, all to demonstrate how much sheaths even in a group of 9 people , worried about the strength of KAIDO,end KAIDO laughs.
KAIDO also has a great sense of humor, fighting the scabbards in his dragon form.
When he could finish it off in his base form, but he first decided to see their potential.
And he could even let them kill him, which shows that KAIDO wasn't even trying in his dragon form.
And when it decided to end, it just ended.
And he continued to be pious enough not to kill them, even though they wanted to personally demonstrate WANO's destruction to the helpless red sheaths.

and what’s more is that He has yet to get his official main round final match where he will release with it his strongest techniques...
That round is yet to come...
And we all remember how:

- Same for Katakuri... he defeated Luffy in a round or two but without showing his biggest techniques like “Diced Mochi”

For example, there was a chapter dedicated to Hyogorou, I like this old geezer, so I loved that chapter, while many others whined and complained they don’t care about him, Oda should not waste screen time on him..etc
in short, who ever shits on Kaido will stay that way
And people who praise certain characters or plots will continue doing that

It was elluded that someone treated their wounds though (for scabbards I mean) and we have yet to see that character... While Jack recovered by himself

for me, the only criticism for One Piece has always been the “over-teasing” by Oda...
Meaning, he teases you about certain plot, then continues to tease about it for far too long... longer than it should be that There will come a time where one of those things happen:
1- Either the payoff for that teasing gets rushed and not satisfying because Oda took too long time with the teases and he’s now trying to rush the conclusion of the arc..
2- Or because of the constant teasing... there becomes a point where we fans hate talking about that plot... and we become uninterested by the time the payoff happens because there would be more interesting plots happening elsewhere we want to see MORE (which are also being over-teased and gets the same result)

No, look I like Kaido as a villain. He's intimidating, strong and he is a great foil to a battle crazy protagonist like Luffy.
Why isn't he living up the hype? Simple, he hasn't killed anybody. I am not a guy who thinks deaths are necessary in a story, but Kaido has been hyped since thriller bark as this guy who kills entire crews for fun. Doflamingo who as far as we know was aloof and didn't fear anybody, was shitting bricks at the idea of having to answer to Kaido.
The Scabbards are the perfect tool for Kaido and what does Oda do? Has them survive against him and they end up killing each other. You don't want to kill all of them on the roof? fine, have the worst gen get there in time to stop him from doing so. But you still have him kill them when he goes downstairs after beating Luffy

Kaido and Big Mom are the only Yonkos told to not be human(not sure about Big Mom, but she is different since born for sure). Even BB that is told to have a different body composition is still portrayed as human.
Roger turned himself to Marines, he chose to die that way.
BB wasn't Yonko at Impel Down and he receive mora damage due his logia(not really true but Oda wants to pretend this is a real thing, and is not exactly a logia but paramecia).
WB having heart attacks... what is that suppose to be? He is old and sick.
Shanks wasn't Yonko when he saved Luffy.

There is so much to happen agaisnt Kaido to be on WB levels. So far Kaido is receiving none to little damage. Even Red Roc was shallow attack. WB took massive damage and still died stood up. Kaido is falling down and almost getting knocked out by Scabbards little damage while remaing stood up after Zoro making a new scar on him. Inconsistent.

Stamina in top tiers let them fight for days and he has great regenerative ability, so fighting all these people is not a great feat (and now we will see how Kid and Law will display much better agianst BM meaning Oda only wanted to show Luffy greatness on the roof).

He demonstrated enormous resistence/toughness, he hits hard and has also fought a lot of people (though few were really able to deal some more meaningful damage to him). We certainly still have to see the best from him (awakening included). He has advanced conquerors haki (which not many people have), his fruit is impressive and grants him various abilities, though there certainly are better fruits out there.
Living up to the hype is a bit subjective. What are/were your expectations of him? I don't think he is the strongest character in the world currently, I think that he is one of the 7/8 strongest people in the world but I am not willing to go further than that, for a number of reasons.
