I am perfectly fine if Zoro ends up fighting only Orochi. you may be mistaken me with someone who is only interested in fights and powerlevels.

Luffy is specifically training a haki technique to bypass Kaidos durability. Zoro receives a swords that is specifically stated to have hurt Kaido before. the only sword to ever do so.
there is barely a reason to include this line if it is not relevant to the story. Oden is getting wanked in his flashback to the stars and beyond. the statement adds nothing to his hype. so, whats it good for in your opinion?
