Powers & Abilities Zoro Ashura

I see Ashura brought up for Zoro all the time in versus battles. Most just assume that the power trumps anything that would give Zoro a hard fight. How are we sure that Oda has not scrapped Ashura?
It has only been used once in the story. What if it's like Douriki and Oda decided to simply scrap it.

The ass pull powerups that the other M3 got in EL has been utilized consistently throughout the story. Ashura is the only exception. In the arc after EL, Zoro got a more standard and accepted PU by getting the black blade shusui.


I think Ashura shouldn't be such a staple in discussion because there is no consistent showing of it. Gears are consistent and Luffy even for better with them Post Time skip. The same goes for DJ which Sanji shows consistent usage of and has improved it. Ashura is not a given like the other two powers. Zoros external power ups come from getting better weapons or mastering a good weapon.

What do you guys think. This is not a flame thread. I'm neither a Zoro or Sanji fan. My fandom lies in the Big Mama family.

I feel maybe he didn’t like the execution and sort of scrapped it by just ignoring it and making it a one time ordeal

I get it... for a PU Zoro has barely used it. It is weird i admit that but Ashura was so ambigous he could transform it into some other mumbo jumbo if he wanted to. Scrapping it completely would just be really really bad on Oda's part

It was never used because simply Zoro didn't need to use it, expect against Kuma PX in Sabaody.

Fishman island --> Hyozu
PH --> Monet
DR --> Pica

Zoro can defeat all of them at the same time, without using his strongest move.

It’s not the first time Oda has done such a thing. Not on a big scale like this but look at BOAT. Makes no sense that it’s Haki yet....

Ah forgot about that then.. sort of throws a wrench in this whole thing but i stand that it’s not a consistent ability. Perhaps it’s not worth using on fodder but in Wano alone, Zoro has fought people capable of killing him but didn’t use it.

Not really. Anyone who is hanging with 2 sword zoro would get wrecked by 3 sword zoro.

Nah.
Zoros intention was defence with hawkins so they could escape with tama who was ill. Yet he still took numerous lives.
The fox he had no intention to fight.
As soon as zoro used santoryu vs killer he was one shotted.

He literally got one shot by Killer

Same with killer. In a one on one killer doesnt land a single hit.
