I wonder if the Yonko saga was meant to be more strategic as Law implied in Punk Hazard but Oda's editors forced him to make Battle arcs

Doflamingo in Wano implies that Dressrossa might have been meant to have been inconclusive. And we already know that WCI wasn't supposed to have had a "major fight" and that Katakuri was changed from his original design

Would you all have preferred a "strategic' saga?
With major and long timeskips that allow SHs to genuinely become a Yonko crew yes.

But not like this...

Luffy literally could have developed AdObv without a fight xDxD
But again "The manga is about Luffy" so, how can other characters shine more than Luffy? XD

And NGL, I love post timeskip OP, but the decision to have on every arc a fight, and to not allow any other strawhat shine because of Luffy or secondary characters...Is still funny to me, and most of these decisions comes from the editors xDxD

I would genuinely think about hanging myself ( much to everyone who doesn't like me happiness ) if Mihawk's bounty is not over 3b at least.
Luffys bounty after the TS = 400.000.000 -> Shanks bounty is around 4 bil
Zoros first new bounty after the TS = 320.000.000 -> Mihawks bounty will be around 3.2 bil
Sabos bounty is around 600.000.000 -> Dragons bounty will be around 6 bil

I wouldn't prefer a more "strategic" saga, it was never Luffy's and the SH style.

It could still be battle arcs and everything, i just wished the people fighting were the Straw Hats, the people we actually care about, instead of getting to every arc, metting a bunch of new characters we don't really care that much, watch them fight against the main antagonists and then just watch the characters we have come to love over the years stay on the sidelines.

Does Oda think we got "tired" of the Straw Hats or something? why does he think it's better to introduce dozens of characters every arc and givem them major fights, while giving the Straw Hats just small clashes and moments? This shit fucking sucks.

Imagine if that Kaido vs The Red Scabbards, was just Kaido vs The Straw Hats, just like back in the Thriller Bark days against Oars.

I just can't understand why we have to spend SO MUCH time with new characters and just sideline the characters that built this series.

Honestly. I would have preferred if Oda made several mini Drum Island/Zou style arcs in Kaido and Big Mom's non Main territory than the way he just made Tottoland and Wano so long while ignoring their other territory

And Dressrossa Should have never been allowed to be 100 chapters long with how boring the setting is

I wish Oda didn't ignore the adventure side of the story

Makes sense on paper if that was really the case, Marineford is mostly unanimously praised while being Luffy only and Thiller Bark is mixed in comparison.

The Strawhats Should have never been separated tbh.

It would have made Dressrossa better if the Strawhats and Gladiators teamed up against the Doflamingo pirates
