A generation of weak men

Yeah I think this thread has gone to a pretty bad place.

I'd just like to say that @Yubel you should link more studies, since this is the base of your hypothesis. You linked one. Is this enough to convince you?

My personal opinion is that men now have more room to breathe, as before there was a lot of pressure on them to be tough as nails (drafting, only parent working, etc). I feel like too much of an extreme (tough or soft) does lead to low mental health.

I think because we live in a more comfortable world, well the first world anyway, that women like men can act like their true selves, and let their true emotions show and speak more freely than ever before.

I've never met a woman that had as a life goal to be a housewife (except @Light D Lamperouge ). They want to be doctors, lawyers, engineers... Why's that?

I think it would be difficult to show that there's a significant correlation between being "less manly", which I have no idea how to even define (Tough? In which way? Strong? In which way?), and... today's society? Where's the link? And where's the proof that there is a strong correlation there? If you can find multiple sources for this way of thinking then I understand why you in particular have this stance.

But I'm just trying to use common sense. I think a lot of these manly traits you may be thinking about are just human traits in general.

And I agree with the person that said that lower testosterone may be linked to porn addiction. That makes a lot of sense.

The problem is that most of these ideas of what is "manly" are social constructions that came from deeply rooted gender divisions. (Which is normal because we used to be errrrr basically apes aka animals where males/females had their roles.)

In recent times we're breaking out of that animal construct.

But I wouldn't go so far to say no women want to be housewives. Many do and that's okay.

Ok last post before this gets locked again lmao.

I forgot to say that yes, some women do want to be housewifes! I was trying to say why are women willing to go through higher education and work in traditionally male fields out of their own free will? I think I read that he said we are unhappy because we're not falling into our gender role. :few:

I'm actually surprised that I meet more men that want to be stay at home dads. And I don't see them as "less manly"

Whatever is happened with modern western societies and first world countries is leading us to a path of destruction and it's happening because we're not really men anymore.
Ahh, Fascism. You truly are the most nonsensically irrational of political ideologies lol.

“Western society will be destroyed by the fems! Traditional masculinity’s death is the death of us all!!”

Fun fact: being masculine means not crying in fear like a little bitch when other cultures and ideas start to gain traction lol.
