Just wanted to say it seems weird people are upset about Zoro. Yes, it was a combined Yonkou attack, but Zoro was actively defending with his blades.
Compare that to Luffy in Alabasta. He gets pierced through the abdomen by Crocodile. Luffy even admitted to Enel that his weakness is getting pierced. Luffy didn't even defend against the attack. At that point in the story the Warlords were the strongest pirates we knew of.
So Luffy didn't defend against one of the strongest known pirates and it was his weakness. Then he just ate some meat and put on a bandage.
The injury was even used as a gag when water started to leak from it. And that was pre-ts where "injuries mattered" and there was "tension". I feel like some people are just blinded by nostalgia...
