So roger whose been travelling for decades at that point is carrying a sword for shits and giggles ?
He uses it. But he does not rely on it.
The same way big Mom uses Napoleon, BUT she also uses her fist, she also uses Zeus attacks alone, she also uses Prometheous attacks alone. She does not rely on Napoleon as her major fighting style.

Roger is the same.

An example is Whitebeard. He uses his Bisanto weapon, but he relies more on his fists than his weapon. I hope it's clear. Roger uses it on some occasions during the fight, but his major fighting style is FISTS. Same as Katakuri, he uses Mole spear, BUT he uses fists a whole lot more.

However, someone like Fujitora for example, he is a DF user, however, most of his techniques, if not all, are being activated when he uses his sword. Even something as rediculous as bring a meteor down (which logically has nothing to do with his sword) HE STILL conveys the move through his sword. Thus making him a legitimate swordsman, and simply by default falls directly under Mihawk (NO QUESTION ABOUT IT). EVEN Oda called him "Blind swordsman"

It's like Oda telling you "he is a swordsman". but you guys say "NO he is not, you do not know your own Manga, let me write instead of you" hahaha

Point is, Roger's fighting style was not shown yet. If you can confirm it to me that he is like Fujitora or Zoro or even Oden who basically use swords for the entirety of the fight, then sure. But if he is just gonna use it for the first clash to give us some hype and split the sky, then he leaves it behind and goes with fists? or if he uses it only for one or two moves, or if he uses it only to give him more options against some special DF abilities who swords can be more affective than fists (like Rubber). Then No, he uses swords for specific situation and it's not his major fighting style, making him not someone to fall as swordsman

you can say that he has good or bad swordsmanship skills, but you cannot give him the title as "swordsman" like Mihawk, Zoro, Oden, Fujitora...etc

You mean like how Enel was a "god" ins Skypiea because of how isolated the country was from everything

Notice the similarity with wano the isolationist country also having a "god"...

Anyway, The reason why people want a Ryuma flashback and Oda doesn't just redraw monsters and print it as it is in one piece is because there will be changes... In fact there have already been changes with the very little that Ryuma has been stated to do in one piece already
I knew you would bring Enel into this LOL.

That debate is boring
We won't know until we see him fighting, maybe he is maybe not

People who a saw a sword on the Rocks flashback and jump to conclusions lol
Dude almost everyone carries a sword. It doesn't make them swordsmen if it's not their major fighting style. Honestly, I'm mad about Luffy for that spacific reason. I've always said that Luffy needs to have a weapon he carries around JUST IN CASE, his opponent's abilities were bad match for people who use punches. or for example someone like Magellan who you don't want to touch, so a weapon like a pistol or a sword is a good option in your arsenal to train to use it. But it doesn't by default makes Luffy a sniper/gunner if he got a gun for that reason or a swordsman if he wanted to use a sword to deliver a cut and not a blunt attack.

So, main fighting style is important, because MANY characters carry weapons as an option and an extra arsenal under their sleeves rather than being their fighting style.

Ace is a huuuuge example of that. Ace carries a freaking dagger. YET, I have never seen him use his dagger once! Why? because he doesn't rely on it. And he only uses it for special occasions. Similarily, Bartolomeo has a dagger as well, and he only used it once during Dressrosa arc, which was situational.

Many characters carry pistols or sharp weapons like knives, swords, dagger, spears for an extra option. Enel was like that too, he relied on electricity, but when he saw it doesn't affect Luffy, he started to rely on his spear because it can affect Luffy.

Sidenote: Luffy should get his own weapon. I've been saying it for a long time. He needs to pay Ace's grave a visit after this arc is finished, when they drop Marco off. And then, he needs to take Ace's dagger and uses it for himself, he takes it as his own memento the same way Sabo took Ace's DF as his memento.

what?
this is about the LOGIC man

if WSS is the swordsman who is stronger than the rest ... then Roger should be WSS ... but he is not

and prove WSS title is not about over all power

so that's is .... you want to stay behind the wall of deny and scream : NO!!!

Oda showing over and over and over again that Roger main weapon is sword have no meaning for you

I bet nothing would change if in next SBS oda say: yes , Roger is officially a swordsman
What lengthy battle exist that shows us Rogers full ability. There is none.

At this time Rogers has never been called the world's strongest Man or the world's strongest swordsman.

There's no wall of denial there are facts. Everything I have stated is backup by the manga or by official one piece sources.
