She can be stronger than him. M3 is about Sanjino taking the 3rd opponent, Yamato can get a mid diff fight(like Jinbe get with Who's Who) and Sanji take a high/extreme diff with a stronger enemie.

First of all Yamato knows what Kaido is capable of doing unlike Luffy, second of all Yamato fought Kaido many times in the past, and also she's his daughter so he might as well have a soft spot
