Axe hand morgan isn't a "main villain". Re-read chapter 6 again.
Luffy was beating the shit out of him while smiling and laughing, they had no real narrative conflict, then Luffy's thrashing of him was interrupted with a hostage scenario with Helmeppo/Coby, so Luffy trusted his back to Zoro.

You are posting in disgustingly bad faith if you want to claim Axe Hand Morgan is on the narrative weight of someone who is directly in Luffy's way and who Luffy has said for 400 chapters he will beat.

Luffy wasn't using even barrier ryuo and Yamato admitted Luffy was holding back. Clashing with an elephant gun, isn't the same as clashing with red roc, it isn't even the same as dealing with a base elephant gattling attack.

Luffy was rushing to fight Kaido, not have an all out battle and waste stamina with who he assumed was an underling.

Yamato would have died IN CHAINS like Oden, due to her lack of INTERNAL DESTRUCTION RYUO, if not for Luffy. Show some respect to the future pirate king.

Kaido hasn't showed internal destruction, now what?
Why do you ppl hate the idea of someone being stronger than Luffy? You do realise if Ace was alive, he would be a much stronger combatant than Luffy and this was someone who could only stalemate a base Yamato.
