I'm not the best at English to explain this properly to you among all users here, but

Yes, you can claim x or y and we still wouldn't know if you're town or scum. For example TAC flipped town Nat, but she could have been a scum role easily. This is the so called flavor of the game. Flowa is famous for her scum play, so in this game Flowa is scum and that is what Typo flipped.

Like when we play an OP game, and we don't know if the Straw Hats are scum or town at the start
