Zoro choose to sacrifice himself for the others, thats all, he did great, but we can't just say "Definitely only Zoro could do that", especially considering that he has done anything to even give a hint that he would be able to it the way he did. Thats just Luffy getting obliterated by Thunder Bagua and coming back after "Three Realms Ragnarok"

Simple as that
Yes we do
None of the others could do what zoro did

Who's blocking that combined Yonko attack?
Luffy, Sanji, Kid, Killer and Law are not able to block hakai or what? Zoro blocked it for a second, you think those 5 can't stop it completely? Easy lmao
There was no reason to take on Hakai in the first place - Oda just wanted to give Zoro a cool moment.
Who's cutting the various fire attacks from Kaido and Big Mom.
Oh yeah the fire....you mean the fire that couldn't even burn Luffy when he straight up walked thru it? YeAh HoW wOuLd ThEy OnLy DeAl WiTh It??
Who's weakening Kaido by scarring him badly?
''Weakening'' :cantseeme:it already healed when Kaidou fought Luffy 1 on 1

Same as the other Supernova on the roof. The narrative Oda was pushing was New Gen vs Old Gen and that the New Gen are strong enough to stand up to the oldies so everyone on the roof had to put in a degree of work even if it meant them being able to hurt Kaido. Hell the Scabbards were written to all be able to hurt Kaido to fit a similar narrative as well.
It's very easy to throw out the statement that Sanji wouldn't have been able to hurt Kaido based off of current feats etc. but how many of the Supernova that fought on the roof actually displayed feats or showed any indications that they could do so prior. Hell even Zoro didn't.

If the question though is whether or not Sanji would have been as impressive as Zoro on the roof, then I'd say it's unlikely as the narrative on the roof and even in this arc in general with regards to Kaido is more favorable for Zoro hell even Kidd and Law took the back seat to him on the roof.

For sure we acknowledged that Zoro after the Enma training looked like possessing the potential to hurt Kaido seriously by portrayal. The same can't be ascribed for Sanji by the same.

Doesn't work like that...relying on "The narrative can do anything so Sanji can be written to be just as good as the rooftop 5". No that's not how it works.

They are stated as the leaders of the next gen, Sanji not being part already puts him below .
Not only that, we saw Sanji's reaction to Boro breath and he couldn't do anything about it.

The question isn't whether they showed the could, it is whether they showed they couldn't.
Killer, Kidd, Law and Zoro didn't show an inability to hurt Kaido. When the fight started is when they showed their feats which weren't inconsistent with anything they showed prior.
In fact , the only ones who did real damage to Kaido were Luffy and Zoro.

In Sanji's case, he Already showed an inability to perform to that level. The raidsuit defense was already shown it's limitations in WCI.
The power wasn't enough to draw blood from P1.
Even got overpowered and damaged by P1.

Poor argument relying on "The narrative can do anything so Sanji can be written to be just as good as the rooftop 5". No that's not how it works.
Yup seeing how Oda wrote that rooftop fight I have no doubt in my mind. The scabbards had no business hurting Kaido yet Oda wrote them to 🤷🏿‍♂. Inu and Neko had haki dangerous enough to hurt Kaido, yet were unable to put down Jack with both taking turns to fight him day and night for 5 whole days. Then there is Kin'emon and the scabbards that time travelled who were largely regarded as fodder by the fanbase till the rooftop fight but alas! :milaugh: it is what it is lol.

If Sanji is matched up against Kaido at any point in this arc, hell not only Sanji, if even Franky or Jinbe are, you better be prepared for them to pull off similar feats. The narrative that Oda is tryna push at any point in time is all that matters.

The Supernova have been regarded as the leaders of the new generation so they are all above Sanji:milaugh:
Keep telling yourself that mate. This issue isn't even worth debating imo.

Again your argument here is none of them showed the ability to not be able to hurt Kaido so they simply did when given the chance to. Well, like those characters (save Luffy & Law who I'd argue have shown tools that could hurt Kaido prior to that fight), Sanji hasn't shown the ability to not be able to hurt Kaido either :catsweat:so we're just gonna have to decide whether he can or not if given the opportunity to won't we? or has Sanji faced off against Kaido before and shown that he is unable to hurt him:catsweat:

Also I'm just gonna put this out there coz I see this really dumb argument that all the Rooftop 5 are commander level or greater coz they showed the ability to hurt Kaido :believe:. Hell, the fact that I even have to try to debunk this is giving me a headache lol but keep in mind that Inu and Neko both have better feats that Killer for instance and had the haki to hurt Kaido yet both failed to put down Jack with both tagging each other in and out, day and night for 5 whole days and Jack is the weakest of the calamities :usoprice:.

You are basically using the "X character did it so Sanji can do it too"

Well the argument here is not whether Sanji can hurt Kaido atm (*we don’t know that yet in all fairness ) but rather whether Sanji would’ve been able to put in work if he was on the roof and my answer to that is yes. Reason being that narrative would’ve required him to.

And you did it again, quit giving Sanji stuff that he doesn't deserve, and no, plot armor wont help you because I can also say: "Usopp would've been able to put in work in the roof because the plot demands it". Lame.

Putting the Sanji bias aside, this isn't rocket science imo but we can disagree on this ^^

bro Sanji had the raid shit in his pocket and still ran from broo breath :kaidowhat:
Oda failed hard on the mOnStEr tRiO dynamic

Isn’t he immune to fire? Does broo breath even do anything? Has it ever hurt anyone? Why he run? I thought Sanji was this aerial specialist that can block the strongest attacks of One Piece? Never mind Vergo shattered his legs. Doffy laughed at him. Pudding laughed at him. King almost killed him

But now Sanji can take Hakai? :kaidowhat::lawsigh:
