Manga 966 Spoiler. Title: Roger and Whitebeard. Cover: Chifon is captured by the navy. - Whitebeard and roger pirate meeting. - Buggy challenges Whitebeard to a duel. - Oden is very eager to fight. - Conflict of royal law by Roger & Whitebeard. - Momonosuke's baby cries and Toki says that this fight must be stopped. - Oden no longer wants to join the Whitebeard pirates because Roger offers more adventurous adventurers. - Oden joins in the pirate Roger. Are you sure though? Destiny is a strange thing coz there's things like Luffy surviving getting executed by Buggy which he did not earn and Luffy getting lucky like 1 million times after that which he never earns... Luffy and many people around him keep saying this man is like the luckiest mofo in the world...
See, luck is the power of destiny i feel in this story... Like luffy won't get Naruto prophecy powers or will of D or Monkey family blood line powers or whatever... The prophecies and destiny or whatever will manifest and has been manifesting as Luck... Luffy happens to be the natural counter to Enel by pre dumb luck and that's how he will achieve his so called "prophecy"...
Luffy doesn't give a shit about World politics but it was dumb luck that he ended up running into Vivi who ended up being from the most unique country ever, a country that was part of the founding of the WG but and so remained good people and so Luffy will get roped into world politics to save his friends and all that was just dumb luck
I agree that Luffy has to make the choice to like go save Vivi or Alabasta again but the fact that Vivi or alabasta end up being so important to the plot is purely by coincidence and that's where destiny part of Luffy's journey... There are large scale things in the verse that are directly happened in by pure luck to work out for Luffy and that's the destiny part but Luffy still has to make choices in the small scale... It turns out that the tyrant god of Skypiea has one natural weakness in the entire world and thas destiny and luck but of course Luffy has to make the choice to go to Skypeia despite Bellamy and how unlikely it is that Skypeia even exists
It's like how Luffy chose his crew but it's dumb luck that his crew will end to the greatest crew in history... He chose Zoro to be in his crew before he knew that Zoro will be the greatest swordsman in the world... so its luck vs choices
