A tree is planted to the ground and therefor is not the same to a human in a kicking motion, Khalifa inflected damage to sanji and therefor her kicks were strong, Sanji wouldnt have been able to not use force in that motion stopped her kick, also its obvious from the manga as the scene looks like a clash were both are using force. Also its common sense.
I have read the Momotaro tale. I am still confused about why fans think Marco will represent the pheasant. What connection does he actually have to Momonosuke? Why would Oda set up this whole New Gen vs Old Gen conflict and say "yup Marco needs to be here!"
