I think both are great but metric is shorter and still easy to understand with practice.

Anyways, try being an American woman and buying clothes. There is zero logic in pant size, shirt size, or dress size. I have an extra small shirt that is massive on me. Yet a medium t-shirt that fits fine. Then pants aren't measured by waist size. It's 0-22 (maybe higher?) Each company has different size regulations. I can have jeans that range from 4-8 but they look to be about the same size. Then length is just petite, regular, or tall.

Anyways you probably don't care but Americans can barely follow any measurement system.
