Okay. I’ve thought on it hard, and I think I want to pursue the DKer for the lynch.
The DKer killed Flower and killed Marimo.
I don’t think I need to go into why the Flower kill was bad. No one openly suspected Flower anymore at the time of her death. Which means if a Town Vig killed her it means they decided to kill someone they didn’t openly suspect instead of someone they did. That doesn’t sound like a Town move.
Then we have Marimo. He was the objectively worse choice between Marimo and SISTZ. We had mechanical reasons to flip SISTZ, but not Marimo. Flipping SISTZ gave us the best chance of ending the game right then and there, and if he did flip Town then it would have provided information on Tris’s reliability.
Killing Marimo and him flipping Town gave us nothing to go on. And they also killed him before he could even post or claim in his defense. Town should want all the information they can gather before making a decision to kill one of the POE when we are getting this thin, especially when one has mechanical info against them.
Killing Flower, killing Marimo before he can say anything in his defense, and leaving us with the lynch candidate holding a mechanical read looks like the work of a killer trying to thin numbers more than a vigilante imo.
In the worse case scenario the DK could be working with a teammate. I think that’s the scenario we are better off playing toward.
If we lynch who we believe is the DK, they flip Scum, and the game doesn’t end, then we can go for who we believe is most likely to be their teammate.
If we lynch who we believe is the DK and they aren’t Scum, we can probably still win this game by lynching SISTZ.
If we lynch who we believe is the DK, they flip Scum, and the game ends then we won.
I just see more routes to victory from flipping the DK than by giving them a pass. If we take out the DK we may even still be able to win in the worst case scenario (two scummates working together).
However, if you guys don’t think we can beat SISTZ with a mislynch/kill on the DK then we don’t have to do it.
