By the way, it is really intriguing that the FIRST PERSON to notice that Blackbeard is a threat and warn Shanks about him being some kind of a monster or freak was actually his buddy, Captain Buggy-sama

It's very unlikely that Teach would have being able of doing this to Yonko Shanks. By the time Ace joined the WBP and Teach ate the Yami Yami no mi it was clear that despite being very powerful Teach was far from being able of posing a match against Shanks.
And I have the growing intuition that Teach being able of scarring him was not the only thing that shocked Shanks when it happened, it's likely that he saw something in Teach's personnality that day than no one had noticed before and that caused him to realize how dangerous and twisted Teach truly is.
