You know what's funny it's actully a meme, I'm from the south of the US. People often take us as being flirty when they aren't around here because we often never meet a stranger, very talkative, and use the words like hun, sweetie and babe casually. I am always backspacing the word hun when I catch myself saying it.

I had a friend who moved here from Russia, she said one of the hardest part to get use to was strangers talking to her saying excuse me when they weren't even close to being in her way and just walking past her, or tapping her on the shoulder to get her attention.
