What if what Hawkins is doing is just a big bluff
Killer vs Hawkins is a card themed fight and the are basically playing Poker. Killer slayed Hawkins all the way to the River and the stakes are high. Now Hawkins is bluffing on Kidd's life, trying to dig on Killer weakness, but Killer goes all in too and shuts down his bluff. Hawkins didn't have this wildcard since the start...

Damage control going strong lol. Zoro is strong and all, but let’s just accept reality… his big fight of the arc and 1v1 is gonna against King.

Big fight? Wasn't roof top bigger than any of the straw hat fights combined and Zoro by far played the biggest role in that fight?

Even if he one shots King, that feat is shit compared to blocking Hakai and nearly one shotting Kaido while being severely nerfed

So my though:
I assume that Marco was knocked out for shorttime or get send fly and Sanji was ganged quickly and was about to lose.
But in the end Sanji and Zoro attacking together and Marco save them before.

Considered this possibility often, I think Hawkins did that when they dodged his Straw Sword. Slythering piece of shit.
Killer probably slayed all Hawkins lives down already and now he'll have to overcome his hax. Killer is already one of the most resourfeful fighters around (found out how to deal with Apoo's DF and Kaido's scales). Fucking Hawkins at his own game is gonna be sweet.

Yeah, Reggie, Hawkins is just unforgivable: bitched to the other side, kept chasing them and now that he's overwhelmed starts playing with the Captain's life. He thinks that's the insurance for his miserable life.

No, Blother, Killer ain't dying on this hill. You have a point cause he would rather die than let his Captain die, but he's smarter than that. He'll get around it and strike the final blow on Hawkins real body.

Killer would rather die than fold on Kid. I just look at it as a Checkpoint. If Oda has plans for Killer to beat Hawkins at his own game I’m all for it. Fuck that pasty fuck, bout time he gets his shit kicked in.

Anyways if Killer loses or dies, it’s a wrap for Kid pirates. They’d be juxtaposed with Luffys never ending success. It is what it is.
