It doesn’t really seem too out of place.

The raid suit is a modern twist on a knights armor which is how Sanji always saw himself, a Knight.

The raid suit gives him invisibility a long time dream of Sanjis and an ability that has honestly yet to be countered in story. Not even commanders like king or queen could sense it.

The design tho is not fitting for Sanjis character. Which is why Sanji mentioned a redesign. I’m sure oda already planned the power progression for the SHs so I feel the raid suit will get fixed.

Doubtful. I need to see more from his haki. I have a suspicion that all the admirals have future sight and barrier haki. Against Fujitora this might not be problematic but vs a logia it becomes almost impossible to hit them without future sight unless you are faster.

For now he could probably stall one like Jozu or Luffy on Dressrosa.

The powerup is included in the story you clown . If oda prepares sanji to be a germa and has the Germa use rs why would he not prepare for sanji to get the rs. Pls use your head. Neither zoro nor sanji are showing anything different from preskip with the exception of haki . Which they learned off the 2 year skip .

i dont think oda elaborately planned anything out for sanji post wci. he had to be given a powerup to not be left behind when the likes of jinbe are joining the crew ~ so the suit. he's just gonna get weird powerups here and there until EoS imo.

zoro got so much parallels in wano with luffy and oden ~ with enma (all the lore and cultural significance behind enma and ame no habakiri) and got a much better written powerup. it felt like a natural progression unlike the suit.

i honestly wanted sanji to learn rokushiki or other forms of martial art or atleast something new in addition to just his usual fighting skills over the timeskip.

sanji didnt even want the raid suit heck even sanji fans didnt want the raid suit back then. look at how luffy developed in observation haki which is supposed to be sanji's forte. zoro got a natural progression with enma instead of shisui after over a year of forshadowing, parallels and buildup for a plot point of cutting kaido.

sanji? yeah heres the raid suit and get a stats boost. i dont even think you were reading one piece weekly during wci. people wanted extended fights for sanji where he gains new observation abilities, some new martial art skills etc. dont you think any of that is better than the stats boost with the raid suit? i love the invisibility aspect of the raid suit but for all practical purposes, how do you explain its advantages when the top tiers use future sight and observation haki?

yall love to say that oda keeps trashing sanji since post timeskip but attack me when i say the same fucking thing.

Observation haki may only work on RS if the user was as good at it as Katakuri or Luffy.

besides that, RS is not only invisible, but too fast with Sanji to make them react in time against the invisibility… future sight is required 100%

And that is exactly what is going on this arc . He is fighting still fighting. Oda is going to go more into his fighting style his haki types and how good he is with them. Yup. Marco was able to fight equally against them at MF. Kizaru backed down from a VC (We know he took Beckman seriously from the vivre cards).

Also Kata has almost the same abilities as a logia admiral. He just hasn't displayed large scale destruction and barrier haki.

admirals are just YC1 with AoE fruits
