Luffy had to learn the tools to defeat Katakuri but it was crystal clear that Luffy still wasn't as strong as Katakuri, let alone surpassing him. Then there's King who would EASILY handle 2 G4th rounds even if Bound Man happens to pummel him.

King took a lot of punishment for hours and he's still fricking fresh, that's insane.

Kata or King could easily handle G4. If Luffy didn't awake future sight he wouldn' even beat him with 3 rounds of Boundman,same for King.

exactly. katakuri developed FS to avoid getting hit so as to counter his weak endurance.

And the thing is, Katakuri didn't take hits for years. Nevertheless, enduring 3 Bound Man hits at once, fighting for 9 hours while gouging his belly at the last 2 hours are still solid endurance feats for someone who rarely takes hits. Of course, King would easily replicate 2x - 3x of these endurance feats, he's tanky as hell.

Well, it was intented that Marco attacked them the entire time when they fought with each other.
Only because we saw a few on panel hits doesn't mean Marco couldn't hit him before.
