Roger had many extreme battles with garp, as in GARP THE FIST. Unless You think Rogers sword was clashing with garps fist all this time in all these battles, and that îs stupid.

Roger îs Like wb, when needed he can pull his sword bisento to fight weapons, or he punches You into the ground. He îs versatile fighter, not limited to Something.

- Chapter 112: "Let's find out who's stronger the swordsman or the fighter"
Represented by Zoro vs Luffy.

- Golden era: Garp vs Roger, the iconic team up of the top swordsman and the top fighter vs Xebec/Wb/Bm/Shiki/Kaido/etc. Then they proceed to ruthlessly clash against each other in their primes, in the swordsman vs the fighter match up.
Key thing to note is that Oda has never made any implications of Garp being inferior or Roger being superior.

So who's superior the Swordsman or the Fighter? We don't know.

Roger is the only swordsman from the golden era with a named sword attack and you want to say he's not a swordsman. While we're at it might as well declare Garp a non-fighter.

Read the manga, BM has named attacks with a sword and îs from Roger era, shiki has named attacks with a sword and îs from Roger era, wb has named attacks with bisento, kaidou has named attacks with club and are from Roger era. And what the duck do Zoro and luffy have to do with anything.

Wellcome to circus , the place where fists are enough to become top tier while swords arent and require something beyond it to accomplish top tier successes.

I know that many are freaking out cuz Roger was a swordsman and Mihawk is now the WSS (so some think he is > Roger and now others try to find ways to say Roger was not a swordsman and bla bla bla :believe:) but Roger IS a swordsman in the same way BM IS a swordsman but not in the way Mihawk is a swordsman
Roger and BM are not guys who pursued Swordsmanship for them the sword is just a tool to fight they just picked up one started swinging it and succeed bc they are freaking beasts if you take away the sword away from them, nothing changes they are still freaking beasts and will still beat the living crap out of you....
Now is Mihawk > Roger and BM ?in terms of Swordsmanship sure in overall power ? With all respect no they would fking destroy him....

For everyone swords are also tool to fight. Not their siblings or momy. tool to destroy or built , tool to invade or defend. in the end its fakeng tool
