This chapter is making it clear King > Marco > Katakuri.

King is the offensive fighter. Swordsmanship, ancient zoan and fire are offensive powers. He has the greatest offensive and AP. His DF power gives him impressive recovery powers.

King fought Marco most of the battle alone and Marco couldn't even push him to use this sword most of the fight or hybrid mode. He is set up the fight Zoro who is strongest alliance member and out performed all of the rooftop SN. Current Luffy might be stronger than him now.

Marco is a supportive fighter. He is great for helping and supporting others. Not only is he a doctor but his DF powers give him the power to heal himself and others to a certain degree. His powers are great for stalling opponents.

His main role in the war was to hold off King and Queen. Any damage he takes from those two will heal quickly as long as he has stamina. His powers allows him to take risk like grabbing onto two calamities without much concern. Marco still have impressive attack power. He has he has feats against admirals and could clash with Big Mom.

Katakuri is the defensive fighter. His fighting style revolves around evading attacks thanks to his DF and FS. His powers help him defeat his opponents by outlasting them. His opponents will waste energy trying to figure out why their attacks aren't working against him.

He has awakening, CoC, and impressive stamina. He has the weakest offensive power.

That's not how the off-panel fights works. The time between Chapter 1000 and Chapter 1015 is much more than 30 minutes which was the amount of time that Kaido soloed Chapter 1010 Luffy between Chapter 1013. Based on this, Kaido vs Luffy fight also lasted a minute.

Yeah, I've known manga long enough to understand how panel time works. But whatever you said here doesn't apply to the 2 on one b/w Marco and the calamities, because the exchange literally lasted less than a minute.

King said he can't help others because he was busy in Chapter 1004, he meant Marco soloing him and Queen ( In Chapter 1005, we see King was fighting Marco), thus he couldn't go to kill 9 scabbards, instead others went to finish them.

I'd like to take a look at this panel of Queen fighting alongside King, coz as far as I can see, King was the only one fighting in that panel. There was another panel in which King is seen attacking Marco with no sign of Queen near them. Until the time Marco attacked Queen to save Hygoro, he did not get involved in the fight after Zoro left. Marco actually had to remind Queen that he is supposed to be his opponent.

Also note that Marco was clashing with Big Mom for unknown amount of time (between Chapter 992 to Chapter 995) while Kaido was soloing 9 Scabbards. That would also reduce his stamina.

Makes sense but it depends on whether or not BM managed to hurt Marco in the meantime. Also, note that Marco only loses HP by losing his flames. So he can still fight at the best of his capacity until he runs out of flames which means King's been fighting Marco at his strongest, although with less fuel, without even using his full power.

This is one of the best chapters Oda has written for the whole raid. Much better than a straw hat only focused chapters cause this is an alliance raid not a straw hat raid. Plus showing different fights in Onigishima in the same chapter is amazing

What can an admiral do to Luffy at this point in terms of combat? Physical strength? Luffy. Power? Luffy. Haki? Luffy. Fujitora couldn't overpower Dressrosa Luffy. They all get folded 1v1 against Luffy atm.

I can’t believe I’m backing Erkan here, but a one chapter pretend fight between Chopper and Queen was literally 20 minutes long.

Marco stalled King and Queen together from chapter 1000 - 1008, during which the entire rooftop battle took place. It’s safe to say he was stalling them and healing the live floor anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half.

Even though Marco was exhausted after that, he still went on to fight King and a squad of flying headliners/gifters for another 14 chapters.

Actually wait, I just did some research, apparently Queen’s oni-virus kills in an hour.

Add in the delay from Marco’s flames, and the time was probably longer (~2 hours?).

So Marco fought King and Queen together for at least an hour.
