Oh, I knew it was coming. I was just expecting it to happen once Zoro and King started to fight seriously, and Zoro was struggling. Then the "Kaido>=King" posts would come flooding in. But looks like the damage control came earlier than expected. Honestly not shocked in the slightest though.

Looking forward to seeing the excuse as to why "Kaido level King" plus Yonko Commander Queen couldn't put Marco down immediately, despite them working together, and Marco exhausting himself by constantly using his blue flames on the people on the live floor.

Gonna be a fun read.

Honestly if King was someone else's fight i wouldn't consider it an option for him to be stronger than Marco.
But since he is Zoro's fight Oda may just make him stronger with a higher bounty too, it would also make up for his lack of feats and highlights throughout Wano

Nah man. Marco was locked in a 2 v 1 through the better part of this war against two Yonko Commanders. 3 v 1 if you count Perospero. There is no way to reach any kind of conclusion as to where King stands in terms of a 1 v 1 against Marco.

P.S. I think it's more accurate to say King kept up with Marco's best form without using his own best form.

Exactly, they need to understand Marco's healing powers is part of his strength and it will make it hard to out him down. It is no different than Kaido's durable body and recovery making to hard to out him down.

We just completely ignore Queen and Perospero's involvement in the whole thing, and the fact that Marco was using his healing ability on the people of the live floor the entire time?

yes that is what people tend to overlook.
Marco's durability and def is off the chart, so his feats look good against top/high tier fighters because he is the master of stalling.
Stalling both king and queen based on his fruit, while doing no real damage to them, isn't that impressive if you realize his ability.
