Because it is useful to know what other players thinks of other players even early in the game like this, it can be telling depending on what that person later flips as, meaning what role they had when they died.

It also helps you learn how the game works, and get you start thinking in a mafia player mindframe.

Mafia player mindframe has easily been the biggest detriment for me.
