Did it get dismissed though? I've not commented on ppl bringing it up in this thread but most of the past arguments has been that Zoro is capable of one-shotting King. Specifically using his feats that scarred Kaido as proof.

Asura can and will one-shot King- it's an attack that scarred Kaido for life while Zoro was heavily injured. Though ofc that doesn't mean literally any attack would lol. Just like how KKG can one-shot commanders but that doesn't mean every red hawk would.

If that’s the case Oda would have done it, but that’s not how fights work.

Well obviously. Fights need to be flavorful. Zoro would've one-shot Kaku with Asura but then it'd end up being one panel; hell, in the end it pretty much WAS a one-shot as Kaku barely took prior damage. Sanji could've busted out DJ much quicker to end the fight in a couple pages, but then it'd be boring.

Everything considered, Asura does one-shot King based off of showings vs Kaido. You can make a big case for SS or Sonson via scaling but will see.
