I think it makes sense for someone who is literally called King to have conq haki. But I am not sure if he is able to coat it. But that doesn't matter for zoro to bloom his conq haki into conq coating to finish off king.

Remember Zoro can only use COC while using Asura for now!So King will be very hard opponent till Zoro decides to use his finishing move!I think this fight will show us everything Zoro is capable of in base!Also,he will get some clues on how to control his COC better by the end of the fight,of course!
