Like, someone getting a 100 mil bounty out of the blue is incredibly unusual. They probably didn't want to raise too much attention to that, and thought that 100 mil would be good enough to signify Luffy's threat, while also not being large enough to raise too much suspicion or cause too much of a ruckus.
Like, Oda even says that if Crocodile was an active pirate, his bounty would have at least doubled if they knew about Baroque works.

100 Million on the grandline is barely a rookie, even if you raise Luffy's Bounty few would make the correlation between his Bounty and the events that unfolded in Alabasta.. They could have given him 200 Million and it still be the same..

Doflamingo was defeated by two pirates and both were given 500M as a result, which is pretty legit imho.

Point taken, then it should have been 600 Million each, but 500 Million sounds fair..

it works exactly like that since they defeated higher bounties. and BB is a coward whose strongest opponent was Marco. Luffy and BB are different BB never challenged a Yonko Luffy would have defeated the assumed strongest Pirate.

I think you're blowing this out of proportion.. Other waves of super rookies were lower than the worst generation, like the pirate Albion 92 Million, lip doughty 88 Million, Rockstar 94 Million pre joining Shanks crew, Gyro 73 Million.. Also 100 Million is just a round number, its not like someone who has 100 Million is suddenly on a whole other level than pirates with 80-90 Million..

I don't think it would especially since they wouldn't know of his whereabout to Alabasta and such, for all they know it could have been Blackbeard or Ace who defeated Crocodile.. I don't buy your argument, if you were speaking of east blue that Luffy got 30 Million, i would agree with you, but 100 Million in the paradise part of Grandline is like Buggy's 15 Million or Kuro 16 Million in east blue, its impressive but not that special..

Why would they think it was Blackbeard or Ace that defeated Blackbeard?

My point is that a massive bounty increase to 200 million would definitely draw some eyes, especially if it was unreported. People with 200 million berry bounties are not common in the first half of the grand line.

There are islands in the first half the grand line that haven't ever seen people with bounties of 100 million.

Somewhere like Jaya, which was a cesspool for grand line pirates, was shook to its core when they found out Luffy's bounty was 100 million.
