nope. he already put luffy on that very strongest pedestal when he compared him to the 5 great pirates. if anything that was a comment on how he's gonna end luffy's life here and stop him from achieving that greatness.


he can be scarred easier than kaido, by attacks at the level of ashura or togen totsuka or kamusari if the attack is something that cuts the user. it doesnt take a genius to realize that kamusari was an air slash which propelled compressed air and the blade was never in contact with oden's body.


wasn't talking about that. a couple of years before fighting oden, kaido clashed with the likes of moria and moria survived that encounter with all his limbs intact. oden himself tells kaido to build his strength over the next 20 years. it has been very clearly established that the kaido which luffy is fighting is stronger than the kaido oden fought, 20 years ago. even sengoku remarks on how kaido and big mom of the present are nothing like what they were in the past.

oda confirmed that the attack which cut kaido, togen totsuka, was clad in adv CoC.

30 minutes isn't cap, it was several 10s of minutes according to the narration boxes that were given to us and the timelines of what was going on.

Your whole argument rested on the idea that Kaido thought Luffy couldn't use advanced CoC because he was too injured, when the far more injured Zoro, according to you erroniously, used "adv CoC" seconds before. Doesn't add up, at all.

Air slashes are still very sharp, and if it was the "adv CoC" that caused the scarring then that giant wave of more powerful adv CoC being imbued in the air slash should have scarred him.

So your source is SBS 100 not vivre card, thanks. no Oda did not say advanced CoC, he said CoC.

Yes Kaido has grown, but the key was growing his crew with smile fodders+ tobi roppo. I got the impression (because it was in relation to the alliance specifically) that Sengoku was talking about compared to when they previously allied, aka when they were in Rocks crew, not when Kaido had established himself as a captain with a crew of his own and took over Wano.
