Garp isn't a pirate. The criterion is very clear - a pirate who Kaido respects.


You think that scars are consolation prizes because they suit your agenda right now. Scarring Kaido has been set up as a plot narrative over Wano for the entirety of act 2 with Zoro recieving a power up for that very act. Do you think that Oda would go to such lengths to show all this just for a "consolation prize"?

So Oden didn't wound Kaido using his Conquerors infused Togen Totsuka (Which Oda specifically clarified in the SBS)? He did it because he had Enma and Ame no Habakiri and that has nothing to do with him infusing his Conquerors into the attack. Cools.

20 minutes is the literal minimum as it is several not one, and probably more than 20 minutes because you wouldn't say "several" if it was only two in my opinion.
In any case 20 minutes is still a highly respectable timeframe to fight a yonko as you learn a new style of haki control.

I already said the same about Garp, I was merely saying he does resemble Luffy.

If Oden did nothing but lose to Kaido, without scarring him, his hype would go down and it would make his loss less bitter and frustrating.

Oda only ever lets Zoro lose when there is a mitigating circumstance, so even if he would legitimately get overpowered he doesn't break his agreement with Mihawk.
Luffy will have the ultimate hype of taking down Kaido in Zoro's own hometown, while he fights king, this is the trade off to save Zoro's face, while keeping Luffy front and cener.

If you enjoy stuff like Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Gintama, Samurai Warriors/Warriors Orochi, Gurenn Lagann etc I really recommend this series! It's so manly but also has great female characters and fanservice for those who enjoy it too! And the soundtrack for the anime and games as well as the voice acting is TOP TIER! Well written characters with tragic, heartfelt stories and brutal moments too!

It's very much like Devil May Cry meets Samurai Warriors/Samurais and Ninjas ofc and you can feel the Capcom and especially DMC influences intensely in the Sengoku Basara games they made!

It's a really fucking good series imo. In a weird or "Bizarre" way even, I would say it reminds me of Jojo too but thats because of it having such flamboyant but also traditionally badass masculinity, wonderful, mature character focus and a lot of heart, passion and wackiness!

Luffy getting a fake w for 5 mins after kaido runs a 20 man gauntlet. And even then kaido getting back up.

Kaido is a beast! Hes a bully that can't be beat. :milaugh: Robber boy best be ready, because if he loses again, he should be dead; unless there's a certain swordsman trying to get that mvp trophy.

Sanjis is just visual as he said.

But with shiryu doffy a coo user had absolam walk in front of his face take moriah and run away and he was so lost he thought moriahs shadow fruit did it.
