The problem I have with this is it doesn't really explain Day 1 at all. If I just take roles aside and focus on Mafia it's incongruent.
I’m not gonna pretend like I was totally focused during the last day phase, so I’m not sure exactly what it doesn’t explain.

No like how much more time do you have?
I wasn’t given a timeframe, but something happened to me and it’s the kind of thing that a) only a certain character could reasonably do, and b) isn’t something I can survive without intervention. Don’t expect anyone to save me, since I’m not particularly good at this game or motivated to be, but I’ve come up with a crackpot theory around it and if I’m right, Gram isn’t who he says he is.

Gram vouched for Nick. If Gram is scum, what does he gain from that? Nick didn't say anything about it, which tells me he has at least some knowledge on Gram even if he's not claiming it, so then for Gram to openly buddy Nick becomes an extremely risky prospect, and the alternative (that is, Nick and Gram are scum) is even riskier.

I agree, it would be sloppy if it’s true…but I’m usually of the mind that it could be a big-brain play to deflect, like it’s so obvious that we don’t pursue it and they hide in plain sight. The problem with that is it leads ME to get too much into the tinfoil :josad:

I mean, to be clear, of the possibilities in play I think it's more likely that Grammaton is scum and Nick Town, than Grammaton and Nick both being scum is. But in any case, I feel like I have to assume some level of misplay in either of those two scenarios, which I'm generally not fond of doing.

Yeah I'd go with this. Its tough to see Gram as scum, openly connecting himself to another scum on D1

Yes, but why? In what context?
I'm not sure what purpose on speculating on this is supposed to serve, but my guess would be Masons or your role is tied in some way to his. From there I can speculate as to flavour reasons why that would be, but given your claim, it should be rather clear why I'd prefer not to.
