General & Others Unpopular Opinions?

Oda made a big mistake by letting Sabo eat mera mera no mi....I would have preferred anyone over Sabo.....this is not because I hate Sabo (I actually like him) but this move made him Ace 2.0.....

I can understand the reason but I just didn't like it....it will take away the uniqueness of Sabo

Luffy wasnt stronger than Enel in Skypiea. Immunity to electricity is only reason he ever stood a chance.
There was more ridiculous plot armor in the fight against Enel than in the fight against Katakuri. :catblush:
I don't even think that's an unpopular opinion, because you're objectively 100% correct.
Without him being Enel's "natural counter", he would've gotten obliterated.
Up until this day I'm still 100% convinced Enel was Luffy's most powerful opponent pre-skip.
Oda basically confirmed that, when he said that Enel would've easily had a bounty over 500 million in the blue sea.
Not to mention that technically Enel did a rage quit in the end and just sailed to the moon because he was so annoyed. If he wanted to, he could've still erased Skypiea and Luffy, but he was just so pissed that he literally said: "Fuck it, I'm off!"

I am still wondering how Oda has gone from "physical attacks will pass through me" in one panel to that not happening in the very next panel...
The final strike with a golden bell is the same... Physical attack hitting Enel in the lightning form...
Yeah, Enel was the top dog of the first half of the Grand Line, no doubt.

I'm pretty sure Oda used some flawed physics to justify it (which is totally fine for a manga btw, since Akainu also wrongly claimed that magma is hotter than fire).
Oda's equation probably goes like this: Luffy is 100% made out of rubber and therefore an (almost) perfect non-conductor, which somehow allows him to hit Enel's electricity form.

Yes, that´s the logic, an isolator within an electric field prevents a possible flow, and since Enel is literally lightning, he can´t exist as such when in contact with an isolator, hence becomes tangible, which is fine for manga. In real world, there is no perfect isolator, apply enough voltage to it, any material will conduct to a certain amount, and if you look at the numbers of Enel´s attack, well...

Having said that, the gold attack was still consistent since Luffy´s hand made the first contact, making Enel a normal human hit by a golden ball.

Almost 100% correct. In fact you can create an perfect isolator though. My prof at university was actually one of three guys that first created a perfect isolator in 2008 (very thin layer of titanium nitride at extremely low temperatures) :geek:

Oh cool. Yeah you know how it is, most knowledge taught at college is outdated, and since its not a field i am in, just passed and moved on.

Robin’s dad (who was never confirmed or explicitly declared dead in the canon) will come into play, having salvaged all the books the scholars threw out of the Tree of Knowledge and gathered a new collective of researchers to figure out the True History, and he’ll play a part in Robin finding the last part of the Rio Poneglyph.
