Speculations Copium about Jack + the beast pirates thread

I'd be happy about it, but the narrator saying that the F5, Jack and Peros are down is what is weird to me then. Because he could have just shown them unconscious with no narration, which then if he were to have them get up due to awakening, it wouldn't be contradictory at all to his narration.

Doing it now would entirely make the narration boxes meaningless, which I'd find weird because it's not some generic character observation.

Yeah, they’re all done. It’s awful, but it is what it is

No, Wano is already too long, I don't think and don't want Oda to make everybody get up again to be oneshotted and insulted again, also Wano is already terribly long. Plus the reason Oda is not paying much attention to side fights (now let's see if he at least will give some space to Zoro.and Sanji and their fights) is that he has to focus on Jesus Luffy vs Kaido and screw everything else.

King and Queen will most likely not have awakening either. Since Oda probably wants them to stay down for the count after Zoro and Sanji defeat them.
On the other hand, strongest Zoan Kaido should definitely have awakening.

Like I really think it has to do with age/experience. Hell, it looks like Pero's had awakening here, look at the ground.

Jack is under 30, so is Ulti/Page 1/Black Maria. Sasaki and WsW are both under 40, so it's a little more odd, but potentially that they just haven't used their fruits to the extent that older users have.

Anyone who has shown awakinging is in their 40s or older. Katakuri and Doflamingo both used it this way. And if the Logia version of awakening is to be believed, i.e permanently alteringthe environment, then Crocodile, Aokiji and Akainu have used it too, all in their 40s/50s as well. Now it's possible Pero's is doing it too

Yes, there will be exceptions, as Luffy will probably learn it and maybe other allies will too (i.e. Kid, Law, etc), because they are protagonists. But I can see Oda writing age as a factor for villains, hence why I can see the 2 Yonko having it, plus King and Queen.

He can just have them use it before they go down and one big attack from either keeps them down.

Eventually the ID guards went down even when awakened so it's not like they have this infinite life force. We'll see how it works hopefully soon.

That's not awakening, what the hell are you saying. Back in WCI Pero created a candy stairs, was it awakening? No. It's just his paramecia he can create "candy things" out of nowhere. It's similar to when Mr.3 created the giant birthday cake wax back in Little Garden.

Rule of thumb:

- Comes from your body: Not awakening
- Comes from the environment: awakening

Look at the picture again, the candy is clearly coming from the ground. If the candy stairs came from the ground, then yes I'd say he has awakening. If he just appeared and we can't see it, then it can go either way.

This scene literally looks no different from how Doflamingo or Katakuri used it.

It's not coming from the ground. It's just a creation of Perospero that still is intact, he created it to attack Inuarashi I presume. It's not hard to understand. His fruit it's quite similar to Galdino's fruit. It is not awakening.

"It's not that hard to understand"

Bro it's a guess relax lol. And it can go both ways. Katakuri's literally did not look like awakening when he and Luffy directly mentioned, it looks exactly like how Mr 3 and Peros are using it.

The only time it did was when he took the walls, made them Mochi, and crushed Luffy under them, this was AFTER this point.

Again, just a guess, no need to get so defensive over it. 50 year old Peros having awakening is not far fetched at all. He's had his fruit for decades.

The Jailer Beasts got defeated.
They were abandoned by the escapees.
They awakened a little after.
Then, after recovering, they took the elevator to Level 1.
And only then did they get defeated for good.
There was a clear gap from them being defeated first time around and then getting defeated for good.
I don’t see that kind of gap happening with these King/Queen fights.

Unless BMP jojn the battle , the battle against Yonko ends soon in 20-30 chapters

If they join then another 40-60 chapters left
Imo if they join, it'll just be exposition fights while the Yonko are actually fought. Think the Marine captains in Enies Lobby while Luffy was fighting Lucci. We'll see multiple scenes of the alliances fighting and beating BMP siblings, but we won't get full on fights.

I fully expect someone like Smoothie to be handled the same way Jack/Pero's were (few action panels/mostly offscreen/big attack at the end) if she and others get involved. This is of course if they are mean to be taken out

People need to stop using awakening as their crutch. Katakuri was the only one shown to have awakening in BM’s crew. There's no way Kaido will have 5-6 awakened devil fruit users.
