You do know that Kaido fought like 16 people and took so many attacks?.....of course Ashura did some damage but Ashura is not the only thing that did damage...anyways spoilers implied that Kaido is "weakening" instead of "weakened" makes me think that all the attacks he took started to take a toll on him now as he continued to fight.....

I've never said the damage done by others doesn't count, but it is undeniable that Zoro is the biggest contributor. Kaido started taking heavy breathings even while talking after Asura. Meanwhile, all the big moves he took before Asura were either termed as too shallow or implied to be insignificant. But I agree every single attack that damaged Kaido contributes to his current condition as long as you agree Zoro and Luffy did the most damage respectively.
