Speculations This guy has to be Scopper Gaban?!

So we got the reveal that Scopper was one of the more prominent members of the crew and on the cover page for Chapter 631, Crocus was meeting a mystery figure. Crocus had previously met Rayleigh in Chapter 591 so it most likely has to be someone who he knows really well or more likely a fellow Roger Pirate.

Also, the hair shape appears to be exactly the same as Scopper's, however, there is one contradiction, namely, the color of his hair. Scopper in The Strong World movie was presented with black hair and the figure in Chapter 631 has blonde hair, so many people automatically discounted Scopper as being the one who was meeting Crocus.

However, I would like to posit that maybe the color scheme for either Scopper or that figure was wrong, as it has happened before. Many times the anime and manga get coloring wrong, i.e Giola's color scheme and Enel's lighting to name a few. You might also think that because Scopper's hair is shaded black that it is most likely going to be a dark color, but then again Queen who was shown to have dark shaded hair was revealed to be a blonde.

I think it is extremely likely that the figure is Scopper Gaban and because of his attire, which is very Wano-esque, we might see him at the end of the arc. Maybe he will impart some wisdom about finding Raftel as he has some navigation knowledge or he could reveal to Luffy the happenings in the world and what effect that would have on him.

People have posited that it could be Shiki, but Shiki's hair is much longer and he would not be able to wear that Amigasa because of the ship's wheel embedded in his head.

Edit: After @Garp the Fist commented with Yorki being the likely candidate, it seems to be a much better guess than Scopper. I still think it will either be confirmed or denied when Scopper is either animated in the anime or the digitally coloured chapters catch up if Scopper is blonde. If he is black-haired, then I think it is going to be much more likely that he is either Yorki or someone else.

Because Rayleigh does not know everything, he was a VC! Scopper as a navigator could help Nami with actually figuring out how to use the RP's to find Raftel. He also could give them some info on the current state of things in the world. Also, he may have been a DF eater and could explain to Luffy the mechanisms behind awakening. There is so much he could offer.

Shiki has much longer hair and I don't think an amigasa can fit with the wheel stuck in his head, plus why would Crocus drink with Shiki?! Also Yorki is dead to the best of my knowledge.

Everyone except Yorki, who was last shown sick, but alive, sailing away in the hope of surviving. Why did Oda leave his fate, out of all the Rumbar Pirates, ambiguous? Cause he's actually alive and waiting with Laboon as a final surprise and reward for Brook.

That guys hair, which is basically the only thing pointing at it being Gaban, in addition to being blonde, isn't anything like Gaban's hair. Gaban's hair is absolutely wild, it looks like a giant hedgehog has fastened itself to the back of his head

Scopper officially has never been coloured by Shueisha. The only reason we think Scopper has black hair is because he was drawn by the animators of the Strong World movie with black hair in his only appearance before this flashback.

I thought he was shown dead but I haven’t seen TB arc in a brick. If Yorki wasn’t shown dead then this being him has much higher chances than it being anyone else and fits the whole Laboon narrative. And yeah it can’t be Gaban.

Yeah he’s not a strong candidate because of what you just mentioned, but a possiblity. I don’t think Crocus would pass drinking with an old rival of his captain , Shiki was also shown drinking with WB despite them seemingly being enemies at the time.

Yeah the last we see of Yorki he's seriously ill but alive, sailing off into the Calm Belt. With Brook saying they'll meet again and that only the sea will know if he's alive or not

I think that Roger's relationship with Shiki was much more volatile than the one he had with Whitebeard. Shiki might have been friends with WB because they were on the same crew but I don't think that Shiki shared any such bond with Roger. he respected him for his strength but never saw him as a friend, which is clearly seen in the Edd War, whereas WB was more or less a friend of Roger, kind of like Mihawk and Shanks, who had an intense rivalry but still were friends.
