Hybrid most likely. Awakening too but I don't think Kaido used it at that time.
And maybe some special fire powers like boro breath but different etc.

I think Kaido awakening and overall the awakening forms of the commanders are little different as the normal hybird form. Awakening probably don't just give better stamina/strenght and overall better stats but also I think the form/body looks kinda different from a zoan user. As example I can see Zoan awakenings are similar as Chopper Monster point.
