The existence of Roger's son was a retcon. When Oda created the scene of Roger started the great pirate era, Ace was probably still Dragon's son.

- saved by storm in his fight against Shiki's crew
- defeated Xebec, strongest pirate in his era, only after teaming up with marine
- avoided Big Mom because he can't hurt her homies
- "let's make a child so he goes to Raftel!!" despite knowing his remaining lifespan and how his child will be treated badly because he is world criminal's son

Agreed Roger was sexist. The wording looks very bad on a person on what he did so far. Well he was pirate afterall. It does make sense. I am happy oda has shown Roger was not a jesus like character. He was flawed .
