I would go easy because of course Oda had to place limitations to his powers. Let's find out how well he can affect characters that are not Big Mom, he only caused her some internal modest damage and it seems this awakening is peculiarly energy consuming but the premises are quite good.

n the King vs Zoro, we see once again King fighting in base(with no haki) against a Santoryu Zoro using hardening while visibly being pushed, so if we used the logic of some people here, base King is enough

Luffy is using haki with hardening here as well while kaido is just shooting elemental attacks from his mouth with no signs of haki usage
