Well Big Mom was shown to be on par with Base Kaido not hybrid Kaido plus Kaido had to confirm if Big Mom still had enough strenght left to keep up with her part of the Hakai.
Kaido seems faster than Big Mom and more durable but Big Mom still has more versatility. I think in the end Kaido high diffs.
Kaido > Zoro/Luffy > Big Mom In my opinion. It isn't a stretch for either Zoro or Luffy to hit mid top tier, with Fujitora/Big Mom etc.

Yes, G4 also uses excess amount of COA but it didn't help Luffy make his attacks more effective than the Scabbard attacks. So if your haki is not at a specific level your attacks would be less effective on Kaido even if they're more powerful than those attacks that are imbued with a higher level of COA.
Simply put, Luffy's attacks in general should work more effectively on Kaido than Zoro's because his haki is superior. Zoro's still doing more damage to Kaido with inferior Haki, which manes his attacks have way higher AP.

His AP is greater in what way? Luffy is doing internal damage while Zoro is doing external damage. And when it comes to lethality it hasn’t changed. Apoo, King and Kaido have all walked away fine from Zoro’s attacks. And when it came to actually hurting Kaido, Luffy had him on his knees several times actually reeling from his attacks. There’s no evidence of Zoro having higher AP.
Ryou, internal destruction Ryou etc are applications of CoA and Luffy has certain application that Zoro doesn't even need. Zoro's Raw CoA level is so high, he does more external damage than Luffy but also more internal damage.
Look at how much blood Kaido is coughing from Zoro's casual attack. Blood coughing shows internal damage, show me Luffy matching that with his CoA

He could literally create a small room in his hands and use his DF abilities on it. He could just harass you and probably murders you at his whim

If it can effect someone like Big Mom, then nobody is invincible to that.
Sadly the opponent is Big mom who's a durable monster so it looks underwhelming. Other character even including some top tiers will have hard time dealing with Law awakening.
It is by far more deadly and potent than fking Doffy and Katakuri Awakening who won't do shit to Big mom.

When did Kidd tank Ikokou? He just got grazed by nameless Big Meme attack.
Plus Ikokou might have same range but not as much Attack power, she makes just a tiny hole while Zoro from same range cuts mountain sized Horn. (Once again Ikokou is a flying slash while this is just mere Haki leak from Zoro)

The scene shows Zoro deflecting Kaido's attacks before he cut and scar him.
Yes, Kaido did tank his attacked just like he did everybody else attack. Zoro attack still caused Kaido more damage than anybody else. Scarring him is the way the manga showed Zoro caused him significant injury. Zoro attack made Kaido start shaking and breathing heavy.
It's a mode. He's so far has three different attacks with it.
