Prior to Luffy coming to Wano, all Kyoshiro did is enjoying happy life, fooling around and talking with Komurasaki. Meanwhile, grandpa Hyou got tortured everyday by overworking physical labor, not enough eating or tortured physically by prison guards.

If he is actually Hyou's son and wanting for revenge then he does it in very slowly way.

Based on what? Kuri and Wano were at peace the first time he left. Oden has yet to be characterized as a coward who will ignore the plight happening before him.

Oden with a ship could easily change his mind and come back with the Whitebeard or Roger Pirates to scare Kaido off. Orochi may not understand much about the outside world and just like you thought Oden was trying to save his own skin and abandon everyone else. Oden might have been counting on that. But I imagine the Korozumi aides or maybe Kaido's men immediately told Orochi not to do something as dumb as giving Oden a passage out of Wano.

the main reason i'm dissappointed with Oden is that it took Kaido to kill Hyogoro's family for him to snap and be like "this is the last straw". That's ridiculous. Sure, Hyogoro's family are dear to him, but really? how about countless people that are excecuted everyday for the most nonsense and cruel reasons for the past 4 years? why THAT didnt trigger him?

All we have is an incomplete information, lets wait for more spoilers or chapter and then judge about that.....
