Kuma accepted his deal, therefore Zoro didn't need to do anything else. If he wasn't willing to take Zoro's life and spare Luffy, then Zoro would have died fighting just the same...

Basically the same deal Luffy made with Aokiji, but unlike a deal made by Sanji

And again the difference is that Sanji at no point had a thought about what he would do once Zeff was free or anything. He'd have lived happily with Pudding and that's all we know

That is, unless you see them as en exception or if you believe they are a Rocks type group.

And the deal in Sanji's case was that Zeff doesn't get killed if Sanji goes through with the wedding.

Obviously both Zoro and Sanji got locked into these deals because they did not have a better alternative to ensure Luffy's and Zeff's survival.

That already happened with in Sanji's flashback when he first met Zef :crazwhat:
I forgot the earlier chapter order, was that flashback immediately before or immediately after he told Zoro to abandon his dream

Zeff has nothing to do with his dream, which was the point of leaving Baratie. Zeff was just a hostage, like Luffy when Ace fought Blue jam or Shanks fought Higuma. Also like the hostages in Wano that didn't stop Oden from wanting to open its borders once Orochi honored his end of the deal.

whats this mindset of the conquerer you talk about?
I couldn't understand that either.

It's like saying Luffy has no mindset of CoC user because he almost gave up on everything after Ace's death, and needed Jinbei to back him up

Dudes think CoC users can't ever struggle, or pass through rough times and make hard decisions they can't avoid

This is a claim i can't understand :quest:

Sanji's end of the deal required for Zeff to not be killed was to marry Pudding and become part of Big Mom's family.

This wasn't a temporary deal, but a life commitment.

You asked about Sanji showing conviction, I gave an example no need to move the goal post.

Also we already know that from Zeff Sanji poses the same conviction as Luffy and Zoro with the spear comment

People often forget Zoro was ready to die and sacrifice his dream for Luffy back in TB when previously stating if Luffy gets in his way he will cut him down

Luffy after Ace's death was ready to give up.

Sanji had 1 lapsus way back 900 chaprets ago and people still fall back to it as if Sanji is the same character as he was then as he is now

Both Zoro and Luffy had moments where their resolve lacked and yet both of them got CoC

--- fall back to that saying - is it better to be born good or be borb evil but conquer your evil side?

Sanji is literally fighting his innet self and coming on top.

He has resolve just as good as zoro and luffy, but bcs of one moment 900 chapters ago people caht let go.some shit
Coz they are simply dishonest

Ace's whole life was an inner struggle of him going back and forth on wether he should have even been born in the first place

:kobeha:
Sometimes these guys braincells are dead coz they hate a fictional character so much that they start writing crap

Zoro and Sanji might show CoC

Both are to Luffy what Rayleigh is to Roger, what Benn is to Shanks.

Luffy doesn't rely on 1 man but 2 ! That's why Oda called them wings in sbs and manga

Its pointless to argue about it:jordanmf:. Whether you think he meets the open-ended criteria there is to be a conqueror in One piece doesn't really matter. Oda will give it to whoever he wants to and whoever he thinks needs it for their storyline. What i'll say tho is, in every trio there is always one person who seems to not have CoC.:quest:

(Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban); (Roger, Whitebeard, Shikki); (Luffy, Zoro, Nami); (Luffy, Kidd, Law); (Garp, Sengoku, Tsuru); (Luffy, Zoro, Sanji); (Luffy, Ace, Sabo)
We'll see if that changes. :kata: I'm 50/50 he gets, don't really care.
The trio example can actually eventually stand. Gabban didn't seem to possess CoC and perhaps so Sanji will not.

Yamato seems to do however.

I overall think it won't necessarily be a matter of strict parallelism. The thing is though the Roger Pirates seemed to have 4 conquerors in the crew but one being a late bloomer in Shanks. It would not be the end of the world if the SHs only got 3 I guess. 🤔

Exactly. What do you think I've been saying, out of curiosity?
You gave the Oden example where he had to do something just for a period of time.

Sanji's forced to forget his life going forward to ensure Zeff's safety, that's the deal he's getting. Like how Zoro had to make the deal with Kuma where he was willing to trade his life for Luffy's.
