I personally love Luffy's casting. Especially after the video. He definitely carries Luffy's energy imo and his smile is great which is an important factor. I personally had the least expectations for his casting.
Idk how are they gonna film serious parts with him, looked too cheery to me
sorry but can’t see him as Luffy. Show already flop for me

Did you expect a GQ model lmao
Yes. its Luffy we are talking about, he should be perfectly cast. That kid looks nothing like Luffy.

Luffy is the cheeriest guy in the verse until he gets in a bad mood and we've only seen this guy the first way. Too soon to judge rn imo. At least until we see him in a serious clip once. He might be able to switch like Luffy, who knows?

I hope they straighten his hair in the show, still can’t see him as Luffy. Day ruined honestly.

The only one among them I'm familiar with is Mackenyu, who is a solid actor. If you're worried if he can pull off Zoro, watch Rurouni Kenshin: Final where he plays Enishi, and Over Drive in which he plays a talented racer named Naozumi, who's workout scenes scream Zoro.

The others look the part, for the most part, but I know little of them. They could be good. Now all we need is casting for the rest.

I recognize him from Kamen Rider Drive's 2015 Movie as Eiji Tomari, one of the protagonists of the movie. Kinda surprised that he was bilingual (English and Japanese) and here for the English adaptation basically of One Piece
