Called this, Oden peaked early just like Big Mom. Natural Born Freaks. Both 1 shotted a beast in age X. Oden made a river in age Y, caught a rabbit with bare hand in age A, banned from casino in age B, etc.

That's why 18 y.o. Oden who fought Ashura, and ended with bathed in blood, was already near his prime.
If current Oden is 100, then pre adventure Oden was already ~ 90.

its truly a hit or miss. 967 was horrible but 968 was tolerable eventough they made mistake such as "Kaido and his men attack the kuri castle and Kawamatsu & Inuarashi had to make an escape plan".
Kaido didnt go there, it was only his men and Kawa&Inu didnt make an escape plan, they held off and defeat the troops.
