You're using motivated reasoning and the "it can't possibly be a fake claim" to shore up a poor defense of him. You are not considering his play, nor the wrongful assumptions you might be making here, such as the fact that he might not be given a fake claim to begin with, so this could be his best bet.

Scum faction is actually Near/Mellow (+ L?). Basically the conclusion Prof came to earlier when I gave him a hint. So far, there's nothing explicitly implying Light has to be mafia, and several things would start to make a bit more sense. A bit premature of a conclusion though, but we cannot use "BaBa WoUlD nEvEr ClAiM MelLoW" as an excuse

If scum isn't given fake claims a Mellow claim is probably the best he could do here, anything else results in a risk of him getting counter claimed.

Dest I’d want to give some time so I can see more. I feel like I can probably read him better as we go but it’s too early for me to hang him yet.
