Kaido was tanking his free hits.

Even Oden a natural freak cant even beat Younger base Kaido despite having Enma (a lethal sword)

Let luffy fight base Kaido first pass midd diff in act 3 or 4

Then we can talk about him winning 1vs 1

Shanks and crew all they did was stop Kaido (probably dragon kaido) from going to MF
Even BM didn't beat base Kaido

I think the difference is Luffy is definitely not doing this alone. He'll do the bulk of the heavy lifting, and will likely land the decisive final hit, but it'll be a team win with the other Supernovas, especially Kidd, putting in a lot of damage to Kaido imo. Big Mom is also an X-factor.

Luffy was physically overpowering Kaido. Once Luffy learns to avoid his club with FS, Kaido can't do shit to him. Luffy's been taking punches from Garp since he was a kid. Kaido's punches aren't shit to him.

I'm not even downplaying Kaido lol I just said its silly to think Kaido didn't use hybrid form because we didn't see it on panel. He might or might not have used it. Shit most of the fight was probably off screened anyway.

And even if it was base or hybrid kaido, it wouldn't matter today as Kaido had 20 years to get stronger.

Impressiv feat for Oden to give Kaido a big huge scar in his Dragon form, his strongest defense form who should even tank easier attacks as his Base form. Cutting Kaido in his Dragon zoan form is really a nice feat, look forward to see the panel where Kaido get his scar from Oden.

And I be interesting to see if Oden use advanced CoA in his attack. If yes then Luffy have the chance to damage Kaido in the next fight.
